White Fillings

Composite "white" fillings, made of super-dense dental composite, are used to restore your teeth to their natural healthy appearance after incurring a cavity. They are called "white" because of the natural tooth color of the composite material.  And unlike inlays--which are crafted in an outside lab and seated at a later date--composite fillings can be made on-site and completed in only one office visit.  The most common method today uses a blue UV light to cure and harden the filling.  In fact, this white filling material hardens so quickly you can chew on whatever you like as soon as you leave the chair.

Crowns and Bridges

When teeth are too damaged or heavily decayed that a filing may not be suitable, a crown may the the answer to repair it.  A crown is a type of dental restoration which caps and encircles a tooth or dental implant and is usually bonded to the tooth using a durable & lasting dental cement. This may be used to improve the strength and/or appearance of teeth.  On the other hand, a bridge--also known as a fixed partial denture--is used to replace a missing tooth by joining permanently to adjacent teeth or dental implants.  The result is a natural looking smile.

Veneers

A dental veneer is a thin custom-designed shell of tooth-like hard ceramic material placed over the tooth surface, either to improve the aesthetics of a tooth or to protect a damaged or undeveloped tooth surface.  This is commonly used as a cheaper cosmetic remedy in lieu of orthodontics (braces) and you may be required to wear a protective appliance while you sleep, especially if you tend to grind, or brux, your teeth.

Dentures

Dentures are prosthetic devices constructed to replace all or most of your missing teeth.  These are usually supported by surrounding soft and hard tissues of the mouth and may need to be glued into place daily and taken out at night. Now you can keep your pearly whites even if you don’t have any of your own.

Wisdom Teeth Extractions

Wisdom teeth are the thrid and final set of molars that most people get in their late teen or early twenties.  They are extracted for two typical reasons: either the wisdom teeth have become impacted or the wisdom teeth are misaligned and are causing crowding in the jaw. Potential problems may include frequent infections which may cause considerable pain, as well as crowding of the teeth, especially in the lower jaw.  This can necessitate orthodontic braces if left untreated.

  • Your Surgery referral slip and any X-rays if applicable

  • If you have medical or dental insurance, bring the necessary completed forms. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.

As with all surgeries, patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to the consultation visit.
